Do I Have to Exercise?
It was a rainy Monday yesterday, but I got back to my Afternoon Delight series, and we covered ‘E’ for Exercise in Life S.A.V.E.R.S.
And in researching, I learned a few things.
I didn’t know that exercise strengthens or hippocampus and prefrontal cortex.
And that may not mean much to you, but basically (according to neuroscientist, Wendy Suzuki) degenerative diseases (like dementia and Alzheimer's) attacks the hippocampus and prefrontal cortex.
So while exercise can’t prevent or cure these diseases, it CAN cause the diseases to have to work harder to have the effect. Meaning, slow down the progression of the disease.
That alone inspires me.
I shared a few other interesting findings, can check out the video above, or click here.
It’s almost 12PM ET, so I’m going to get reading to discuss “R”.
Can’t believe we’re almost done with Life S.A.V.E.R.S.
I’ve enjoyed this more than I expected.
