Why Did I Do This?

It’s the 1st of the month...and February... AND Black History Month!

So on all of those notes, sharing this article. A little bit of history and present.

Yes. This is no surprise.

The pay gap is REAL.

The lack of many Black families having an inheritance to pass down is REAL.

It’s all really sad and it sucks.

My mentor asked me why am I doing this. Why did I get into network marketing and entrepreneurialism?

I chose to become a network and affiliate marketer and small business owner for several reasons.

To be at home with Dane and still contribute financially to our family. Having been a single mom for 8 years, making my own money is what I know.

To pay off my personal debt. Because while I know that Danny has my back, it’s just something I don’t want to put on him.

To give my family options.

To retire Danny. He is the most giving, loving, supportive and hardworking man I know. I want the freedom to take vacations without having to ask for time off. And if he still decides to work, I want it to be because he wants to, not because he has to.

To build a legacy and provide an inheritance to our kids. Because the cycle is whack.

In this industry, the compensation plan is the compensation plan.

No pay gap there.

I love that my skincare can be passed down in our will and I appreciate the tax cuts that come with owning a business.

Corporate jobs definitely help with benefits and insurance so we make the most of those. I don’t preach that everyone fire their boss, but you can add to your wealth through a side business.

I’m thankful for those that work hard to eliminate the gap. I’m also thankful for the opportunities where the gap doesn’t exist.
